What a Sri Lankan online listing is waiting on
The bed, the warm bulb, the cash-on-delivery refusal, and the days spent waiting for a photo. A clear catalog shot takes those holds off the listing.
Most Sri Lankan online selling does not happen in a studio. It happens on a bed, a shop counter, or a tiled floor, and then on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok, Daraz, or ikman. The product can be good and still look unfinished, because the photo still contains the room. Buyers decide from that photo. They also ask for a real picture, because too many listings do not match what arrives.

The room is doing the selling
A floral bedspread and a yellow bulb tell the buyer the shop is improvised, even when the blouse is well made. On a marketplace grid the photo is smaller, so the garment competes with the sheet. InstantSnap starts from that phone photo and replaces the room. White, Gray, Cream, Black, and Soft shadow keep the frame on the product. The blouse you photographed is still the blouse in the shot. Choose Clothes and a model when the buyer needs to see it worn. Choose Product and No model when the listing should be the object alone.

Cash on delivery punishes an unclear photo
A large share of orders in Sri Lanka are paid when the courier arrives. If the color looks different from the photo, or the cut was never visible, the buyer can refuse the parcel. You pay to send it, and often to have it brought back, and the piece is unsold. A catalog photo does not stop every refusal. It gives a careful buyer a clearer look before they confirm the order. Leave Color on Keep unless you are showing another piece you really have in that color. A maroon blouse should not become a brighter red because the bulb was warm.
One product, several places, the same day
The same piece usually has to appear in more than one place. A Daraz or ikman thumbnail wants Square and a quiet background. A Facebook post can use Portrait. A WhatsApp status or an Instagram story wants the tall Story frame. Outdoor, Lifestyle, or Street is for one hero, not for every image in the album. You make each of those from the same phone photo. Each one is its own studio shot and counts toward the monthly allowance. You save the file and upload it yourself. The page starts to look like one shop when the backgrounds repeat.
- Square, with White or Soft shadow, for the marketplace grid.
- Portrait and a model, for a Facebook post or a product page.
- Story, for WhatsApp status and a full-screen story.
- Detail, when the buyer needs a stitch, a clasp, or a sole.
- Filter Shots to Clothes or Products before you save, so the two catalogs stay apart.

The hold on a Sri Lankan listing is rarely the product. It is the room in the photo, the days spent waiting for a cleaner one, and an order refused because the picture and the parcel did not agree. InstantSnap takes the room out. The product stays the one you photographed.
