InstantSnap

From the parcel to a live listing the same day

How a Sri Lankan seller can photograph a new delivery, make the catalog shots, and have the files ready to post before the afternoon is over.

A parcel on the table is not a listing. In a lot of Sri Lankan shops the gap between those two is several days: the photo is taken at night, someone else edits it, or a photographer is booked for later in the week. The piece sits in the mailer while the Facebook page, the Instagram grid, and the Daraz or ikman listing still show last month. InstantSnap is the part of that wait you can drop. The phone photo goes in the same afternoon the parcel is opened. The catalog photo comes back to Shots, and you upload it yourself.

What the slow day actually costs

Fashion and small goods in Sri Lanka move on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok, Daraz, and ikman. A buyer who is ready today orders from the page that has a clear photo today. A dress that arrives on Monday and goes online on Thursday has missed the days people were already asking for it. Cash on delivery makes a late or unclear photo more expensive. If the color looks wrong, or the cut was never visible, the buyer can refuse the parcel when the courier arrives. The seller pays to send it and often to bring it back. A faster photo only helps if it is still a faithful photo of the piece that will be packed.

The same afternoon, one piece at a time

Open one item. Put it near a window. Fill the frame, keep it in focus, and include the whole piece. Use Take photo if it is in front of you, or Choose photo if the picture is already on the phone. HEIC photos from an iPhone are converted in the studio. The table, the mailer, and the scissors can stay in the phone photo. InstantSnap is there to replace that room, not to invent a product you did not photograph.

Save it, then post it

Make it studio. When the shot is ready, open it from Shots, switch to Original, and compare it with the phone photo. If the product is the one you photographed, Save photo and upload that file to the listing. InstantSnap does not post to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok, Daraz, or ikman for you. The time you get back is the file, ready in the same sitting, instead of a booking later in the week.

A shipment, counted

Each finished studio shot counts toward the monthly allowance. A second frame of the same phone photo, such as a Story after the Square, is another shot. Twelve new pieces, each with a square catalog photo and a story frame, is twenty-four shots. Standard is 25 studio shots for LKR 1,500 in the month, which covers that shipment. Premium is 65 shots for LKR 3,000 if the same drop also needs detail photos. Free is 5 shots, enough to try the path on one parcel before a paid month. If the card in the app shows a different price, the card is the one you pay.

Avurudu and December do not move to fit a photographer’s week. If the plan is already on the workspace, the allowance is there when the cartons arrive. Photograph the real piece. Post the shot the same day. That is the speed.
